This family got in touch with Arthur’s House as they are looking to secure a stellar Nanny for their busy household. Both parents work in demanding roles and need a nanny with experience, energy and self-drive who will become a part of their family for years to come. They would love to find someone who is passionate about their role, driven to succeed and who takes a nurturing approach to their little ones!
The role:
Ensuring the children are safe and cared for at all times. Help them to navigate the world they live in with guidance and care
Prepare delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for both children as needed.
Run errands as needed and when there is time
Manage the children’s social calendar (age appropriate classes and groups, after-school/holiday clubs, day trips / visits to museums in school holidays
Keep on top of laundry and cleaning related to the children - specifically making sure play areas are clean and tidy at the end of the day
Be ahead of things before they need doing! You should be alert to the general needs of the family and how to support them to keep things calm and smooth running throughout your tenure with them. You will know what needs doing in this type of household.
Assist with after-school routine in the evenings (afternoon meal, pre bed wind down)
Play with the children - make their day full of fun and excitement. You should easily be able to rustle up some games for both children be that a cooking session, water and sensory play, educational activities etc especially in school holidays.
Be an excellent example for the children and be attentive to their emotional needs. Help them to understand big emotions.
Keep communication channels open and clear with parents and be able to ‘read the room’
Work with the family as part of a team. Be able to adapt and grow with the role alongside the children as they grow. You should be able to care for children from 3 years old onwards through their childhood and know how to care for them at this critical time for their development.
The Person
You should be a nanny who loves their job and is happy to come to work each day
A positive outlook on life would be suited to this family
Be able to keep calm under pressure and adapt depending on what the day holds which can be surprising with young children
You should be able to show exceptional prior experience as a nanny and have great references
Good examples of tenure in previous roles would be seen as advantageous
You should enjoy being outdoors as well as being able to entertain your charges on a rainy day in London! You will know every trick in the book to keep your charges in high spirits
You should be caring and nurturing with your charges
Initiative is key as well as being able to problem solve
We would like to see (as a minimum) an up to date DBS check, First Aid Certifications and Right to Work in the UK

We are delighted to be working with a lovely family based in Holland Park seeking a capable and energetic nanny able to also take on family PA duties for their three children.
The Family
This is a traditional English family with 7-year-old twin boys and a 4-year-old daughter who will be starting school in September 2025. The 4-year-old is astute and incredibly endearing, and never happier than when she is playing with her friends. The boys love sport especially football, with one twin currently excelling in ballet. Both readily pick up on the world around them, constantly making amusing observations and asking inquisitive questions. They all love to be busy and are a complete joy to spend time with.
Both parents work full time, so need a reliable pair of hands from a caring individual who will recognise their individuality and ever changing needs of their children. The role would suit someone who is happy to pick up tasks, use initiative and work around changing schedules; all with the aim of making family life as happy and smooth running as possible.
The family home is located within walking distance to Holland Park in a gorgeous little community with access to private communal gardens. The schools are just a 5 and 20 minute walk away
The Role
Blended hours (35-40 per week) 12:30 - 7pm term time and 8am - 7pm holiday time
